Adobe Photoshop Tutorials - Killer Apple Tutorial

This tutorial was started because of i bite an apple and the bitten part of the apple was like a mouth of a tiger, so I decided to do a simple tutorial in Photoshop on how to create an apple with a mouth of a tiger. And I called this tutorial as the “Killer Apple Tutorial”, so let’s start with these materials:>>>>> *credits: Photos are from their respective owners. SO DON'T SUE ME. <<<<< -denztriker

Tiger with mouth opened

A red apple

Open the Red apple in Photoshop.

And open also the tiger image in Photoshop.

Let’s try to get the head of the tiger.  I use magnetic lasso tool for this step, but you can use also the open tool as shown below.

Then cut the tiger’s head and paste it on the apple image. See the image below.

Create a new layer and put it below all the layers. Fill it with white background.(Shift+F5 then choose WHITE)

Resize the apple layer and the tiger layer. So that we have space for some text later.

Select the tiger layer and delete the head using the eraser tool with soft edge. Just leave the teeth and probably the lips and the tongue.

Then put the tiger layer on the left side of the apple layer.

Select the apple layer and use eraser tool. Use a soft edge eraser to delete the part of the apple thats outside the tiger’s mouth layer.

Here is the result after erasing the part of the apple.

Then duplicate the tiger’s mouth layer and set the layer blending mode to Soft Light.

Duplicate also the apple layer and set the layer blending mode to Soft Light.

Then add some text and background like I use as shown in the image below.

And here is the result! Simple but great!
