Adobe Photoshop Tutorials - Creating a thorn photo using Photoshop Advance

In this tutorial, I will show you on how to create a thorn photo without tearing the photo in real. First we need these materials:>>>>> *credits: Photos are from their respective owners. SO DON'T SUE ME. <<<<< -denztriker

Model (My Crush! =P)

Pieces of thorn papers:

An old yellow paper
First we need to open the model’s image (my crush!) on Photoshop. Then rename the layer as “model”.

Then hit CTRL+J to duplicate the model layer. On the duplicated layer, rename as model2. Set the model2 layer blending mode to Screen.

Then open the thorn papers in Photoshop.

Then select one piece of the paper using rectangular lasso tool. Then copy it and paste on the model’s layer (above the model2).

Use the magic wand and select the white background and delete it.

Then scale the paper and rotate it as shown in the image below:

Then copy again a piece of thorn paper and do the same process like this one:

Then next is to get the face out. First we need to get the smooth papers and copy then paste it on the above all the layers.

Then select one piece of paper and use the magic wand tool to create a mask.

Then go to model2 layer, and right click on the mask area, click layer via copy. Then put the copied layer above the paper layer we just selected earlier. Set the layer mode to Hard Light.

Then merge the copied layer and the piece of paper we’ve selected the mask area. Then let’s Experiment! Let’s try the other pieces of papers like we did on the image above! Same process, no harm in trying.

After selecting all the papers, open now the old yellow paper in Photoshop.

Then select the whole paper using rectangular marquee tool and paste it at the above the model2 layer.

Press CTRL+B  to open color balance and put the levels below:

Then press CTRL+L to open Levels and put these values below:

Save your document and we are done! Here is our output:

yooooow!!!
