Adobe Photoshop Tutorials - Changing Hair Color using Photoshop - Quick and Easy!

In this tutorial I will show you on how to change the eye color using Photoshop in an easy and quick way, by adjusting the levels of COLOR BALANCE.

First open it in Photoshop. And zoom in on the hair portion to change the color.

You can use Ctrl + or Ctrl – for zooming, or just try the zoom tool (magnifier).

Then use the brush tool. Right Click to adjust the Master Diameter and Hardness.

Then press Q on your keyboard to enter the quick mask mode.

Then color the eye using the paintbrush.

Now press again the Q key to bring back in the standard mode.

And then press SHIFT+ CTRL+ I or go to SELECT>>>INVERSE, so that the eye is now selected.

Then copy it to a new layer or just simply hit CTRL+J.

Make sure that the hair layer is selected. Then there are many ways to change the color of the eye. Let’s try the COLOR BALANCE. Go to IMAGE>>>ADJUSTMENTS>>>COLOR BALANCE or just press CTRL+B.

Then adjust the levels of cyan, magenta and yellow, like this one.

Try to delete some unnecessary colors outside the hair.

Then zoom in to check the edge of the hair if the color fits right.

Use the Smudge tool to smudge the edge of the colored hair.

Then click on the layer and select COLOR.

And here is our output. Just save your work and create a backup if you want. In this case our sample is quite simple, try to edit your pictures using this tutorial.

All you have to do in order to learn Photoshop is just by playing around with it. Be patient and everything will be fine.
