The Interface - Macromedia Flash 8

Here is the working environment for Macromedia Flash Pro 8. 



Legend:
1. Menu Bar
- You can access here any features of the program. It has different sub-menus like File, Edit, View, Insert, Modify, Text, Commands, Control, Window and Help.

2. Zoom Tool/ Zoom Panel
- used to view the working area more or less.

3. Panels
- command sets grouped according to the functions which is basically in the Actions Panel. And also used to simplify or facilitate the commands used. 

4. Timeline
- it represents a simple mode of visualization and does have the two parts.

 a. Frames -limited by vertical lines which forms rectangle.
 b. Number of Frames - allow us to know the assigned number of each frame, its duration and when it will appear in the movie.

5. Layers
- are used to manage the flash.

6. Toolbar
- it contains all of the necessary tools for drawing. Examples are the Selection Tool, Line Tool, Text Tool, etc.

7. Workspace
- consists of different parts like Stage, the most important part.
